Fitting Sessions
Even the best design and fabrication can turn out to be a failure if careful attention to the fit was overlooked. During a fitting session, we consider the pattern, the way the fabric is used and cut, the sewing methods, and production logistics. With over 20 years of experience in both patternmaking and stitching, I have developed and intuitive "eye" for understanding the dynamics of the cut and fit that work for a particular design. The solutions for an ill fit are not always what you might expect. For example, a gaping neckline could actually be an incorrect shoulder balance- meaning, the problem area is often a result of something not right in another area.
